Changes!

So this week we had our changes!  So I am now with Elder Mejia, and well it has been kind of an interesting week.  He is a good guy but he is just a little bit weird... He likes to talk a lot which is definately not me... but we do get along pretty good!  So we are looking forward to a good 6 weeks together!  I am super excited about this week here in La Libertad!  We have got some plans to go and baptize this Rodrigo kid that didnt end up getting baptized like 8 days ago but nowhe will get baptized!  So we are really hoping for that!

Also this week we visited Angel and he is doing great!  We were talking with him and I guess that his wife is now thinking about the whole baptism thing now that she saw him go through the process and so we just need her to go to church this next week and the week after and then we are going to baptize her!  So we are super excited for that!  I cant wait for that!  That will mean that I married that family and then baptized them!  

Now for something exciting... So on Saturday we had Stake Conference which takes place in San Benito which is about 1 hour away... and well we didnt have permission to go on saturday so we just went on sunday... But anyways so we were in La Libertad on Saturday and all the members were in San Benito...  And all the members had met in the church to head up there... and so it turns out that we get a call about 1 hour after they had left, from the Branch President, and he said that there was someone breaking windows in the church and that we needed to go check it out... So we went over there and two kids were in the church.. .breaking the windows... so when they saw us they ran... So we had to go look for them which was kind of a waste of time... but it was kind of fun... so we used our contacting skills and we ended up finding their house about 3 hours later after having looked over all La Libertad... and then we showed the Branch President the house and he went over there to get everything figured out on sunday!  So that was a pretty crazy experience this week!

But overall it was a pretty great week this week and we are looking for some success to come in these next few weeks!  My scripture for you guys is...  Alma 5:16... It is a little bit strong but I love it!

Stake conference...

Well this week was pretty great!  We were able to talk with a family of 5 that we were teaching, and they said that they wanted to get baptized!  so that was pretty great to hear!  So we took them to church, but it was stake conference, and we had it in two different buildings, and the building that we went to they were broadcasting in to there...  so we were watching it... Kind of...  It didnt really work, and we were thinking that this would be perfect for them that they would learn more about the church and reinforce their decision to be baptized...  but the projection didnt work, so we saw nothing of stake conference, so that was very disappointing for us because we didnt know how our investagators would react, so we visited them later that day and they said that they understand and they still want to be baptized.  So that was great to see the faith of them that it didnt matter the technical stuff that happened but the still wanted to get baptized so that was great!

Also this week we were able to have a conference with three zones of the mission, and the president talked with us... It was pretty great!  I learned a lot!  It is crazy how much that the people/leaders of the church know and the spirit that you can feel from them.  They are so powerfull, and also we heardd from the temple president.  He also was great!  So this week was pretty great!  Not much else happened this week but it was pretty great!

Getting Better at Spanish!

Well this week was pretty usual.  Not much has changed over the past week.  Other than we had an old investigator that wants to listen to us again.  But yeah it is kind of a long story but i will share it because i literally dont have much to say so here it is...  So before  Elder Brito left for those three weeks we were teaching this girl and she had a baptismal date and everything, then Brito left.  So us in the trio went to visit her and she told us she doesnt want to listen to us anymore.  But the day that Elder Brito got back to Rabinal she said that she wanted to listen to us again.  We thought that was a little weird, but we went to visit her.  During our lesson though we could tell that she was a little, I dont know how to explain it, but attracted to him.  So we were pretty blunt with her and asked her if she is listening to us again for baptism, or for Elder Brito.  She didnt answer the question, but she says that she still has absolutely no desire to be baptized, so we figured the latter.  So we arent going to visit her again...  So yeah thats it for that story...

Also like Jonny said we had that little stake conference thingy for guatemala.  It was pretty fantastic, and it was all in spanish and I understood basically all of it, sooo Im not gonna lie im pretty proud of myself...
