Changes!

Well we got our changes... and again I have no change!  But I will be getting a new companion named Elder Lomeu, and he is from Brazil... So I am pretty excited for that, especially because he is from Brazil and well they know portuguese, and well maybe I will learn a little...  But I am pretty excited for that!  I have heard some pretty good things about him!  So I will be in Los Campos 2 again for another 6 weeks!

But this week was a little slow but it was a good week... Because Elder Falcon was leaving a lot of the members had invited him over for lunches and dinners, so we ate free for both meals this whole week, when usually we paid for lunch and didnt eat dinner... so that was good, but it took up a lot of time, so we werent able to visit a ton of new people, but we did have a lesson with a family that we were teaching and they were super interested, so we are excited to follow up with them this next week...  So yeah this week didnt have a ton of things that happened...

But one other thing that happened that was pretty cool is that we were able to have a lesson with an investigator about the book of mormon and things like that... and we had an x missionary that left with us to teach this person about the book of mormon and why we focus on it, and stuff like that... and it was really cool to see the way that this member taught the investigator, and we had been teaching this investigator for some time, but he never understood the importance of the book of mormon, but after this lesson, that we had on sunday, he understood the significance of the book of mormon and the bible and using them together... So that was a pretty cool learning experience for me...

So yeah that is about all for this week and my scripture is 2Nephi 9... again it is the whole chapter, so that you guys are reading more in the  book of mormon...

Love you all

Changes, but not really....

Well this week was changes... but I´m going to be staying here again in Los Campos 2...  so yeah but im super excited for that, we have some good plans for this area the next change!  But yeah this week was pretty crazy...  First off on tuesday, we had a little windstorm, that had the same effect on Utah like 3 years ago, but wasnt nearly as strong...  But the houses here are hardly built, so yeah there were roofs flying off and trees falling down, stuff like that...  So we thought, well this is a great opportunidad for service, so we were walking in the street in the pouring rain looking for service...  and at first we were using our jackets and stuff to keep us dry, but then we had the idea to take off our jackets, brilliant right, and have our white shirts showing.  And well actually it was a good idea, because there was hardly anyone in the streets but the people that were in the streets recognized us as ¨the mormons¨ and well we ended up finding 7 new investigators that day with like 5 lessons taught, which is a ton...  And also we had one of our investigators that wasnt really too interested, that we helped, that now is super interested, and she says that she wants to get baptized this saturday... So we are hoping that she will follow through with it, because she is kind of flaky, but yeah we are hoping for her...  So yeah that was a pretty great experience..

Also this week we were able to find some super interested in the gospel.. IT was great!  And almost all of these people came from references from the members... Like the people that we helped with service are great, but they listen usually for like 2 or 3 lessons, and they dont progress, but the people from references are great!  WE got a reference from a member that we literally just passed by his house for like 2 minutes just to get to know him and put another appointment... and he was awesome, he said that ihe is going to go to church and he wants to get baptized and stuff like that... So yeah That was pretty great!

Then today we went to a cave for pday that was pretty sweet!  It was like a 15 minute hike through the cave to a point that was hardish to reach, like crawling through little holes and climbing up rocks, and crossing rivers, but the end was awesome... we had everyone turn off their lights and it was literally so black, pitch black..  And that just reminded me of Life and enduring to the end...  The hike wasnt hard for the people that were prepared, or the people that had the desired to get the end results. but for those who just thought stuff like, ¨oh this is just a cave its not that cool, or I dont want to hike im tired¨  didnt get to see the end results...  And well they missed out... They did everything except for enduring to the end... They went to the cave, they payed to enter the cave, and they started the journey, but they didnt finish...  It is like some people with the doctrine of Christ... They have faith, they have repented, they have been baptized, and they have received the holy ghost, but if they dont endure to the end, they wont get the end results...  Also the same example with Bubba Watson in the Masters this week... He was able to keep his head up and endure to the end, and ended up winning... He didnt let the fact that he was down 3, get him down... He just kept going at his own pace and won...  So yeah sorry for those who dont understand that about golf... but yeah That is my little spiritual thought for this week...  Hope you liked it...

Divisions again...

This week well Im not quite sure what happened... My mind is kind of blank right now...  But yeah we had a decent week this week, I think but i honestly dont remember..  But yesterday in church we were able to take three investagators to church with us so that was pretty great!  So we did divisions again with the other area Los Campos 1(Im in Los Campos 2) and I went over there again...  This time it was a little bit different, because I went with Elder Veliz, who knows a little bit of queqchi, and we taught a lot of people in queqchi, well actually let me rephrase that, he taught a lot of people in queqchi, because I dont know it...  So yeah but that was pretty fun becasue I was able to watch him teach and learn some new things.  Then we were able to put two dates for baptisms in their area.  So that was pretty fantastic.

And in our area we have 4 new people that have a goal for baptism on the 19th of April, so we are working really hard for that...  We are really excited for the work that we are going to be having in this area..  But I hope that I dont leave it.. Because I might be leaving here in two weeks, but who knows right...  But yeah this week was pretty good...  We are having some of the most success in this time that I have had in my mission, but it is the only time that I havent really had baptisms, so that is a little weird, but I hope that the success will come within this next month for this area.  Because this area wasnt really progressing when I got there, and it is still a little slow, but I think that it will pick up in a month or so..  But yeah thanks for todo.

Oops that last line was spanglish, but You understand... Right?

Changes!

This week has been a little exciting!  We started out with accidentally going on a little adventure!  we were going to go to a new investigators house and we had never been there before, and we ended up having to cross a river... but there was a bridge a little away, but we couldnt get to it! So we crossed the river using the help of little kids that were bathing in the river, and they spent like 15 minutes building us a bridge out of rocks so that we cross without getting in!  So that was pretty exciting!

We also finally changed houses here in Rabinal after about 3 months of looking... and the new house is pretty great! but the shower doesnt work again... so we still have to take bucket showers... which still sucks... But I like the new house... But I have a change... So I wont even be in Rabinal anymore...  But whatever!  I will be going to an area named Los Campos 2, just outside of Coban!  So I am going to be close to Coban, which is the biggest city in our mission!  and with that comes a Ward!  So I will actually be in one of the 5 wards in the mission!  Instead of a branch of 35 ish people!  so Im pretty excited for that! So I will be getting a new comp again... but I dont know who yet!  So I will figure all that out tomorrow when I go to my new area!  So I am a little bit sad to be leaving Rabinal, but I am excited to have a change!

Thanks for all of the support and until next time!!!!!!!
